Hays Education is working with a school in Formby, Sefton which is looking to secure an excellent and highly effective EYFS Teaching Assistant/ practitioner. This Early Years job will start in September 2026 and will be full time for the full academic year.

Your new role
The school has a hard-working, forward-thinking EY team, and you could become a part of them working specifically within the Reception class. You will be working with a range of children, with varying needs and learning styles. Having an understanding of how children play and learn is essential. You will also be familiar with the tracking of progress in line with the EYFS and be comfortable working under the direction of class teachers and FS leaders.

What you'll need to succeed
If you are Early Years Qualified, with either a Level Three equivalent or above, or a degree which is relative to the education of young people, with particular emphasis on the Foundation Stage, you will be considered. The school is committed to providing a well-rounded education, giving children the best start to their learning journey, and they are looking for the same commitment from you. Child safety and well-being should be central to your ethos. You will also display a calm, positive and welcoming attitude that is in keeping with working in the foundation stage.

What you'll get in return
