Our Client, a leading and expanding engineering business are looking to recruit an experienced Scheduler to join the business on a permanent basis at their site in Bradford.
The role will be responsible for planning and coordinating the daily workload of a team of field engineers across the UK carrying out installation and inspection works.
You will manage engineer schedules, customer appointments, emergency call-outs and project planning while maintaining clear communication with engineers, customers and internal departments.
Ideal candidates will have previous experience in a Scheduler, Service Coordinator or planning role. The ability to multitask and work in a busy environment is a must
Hours - Monday - Friday 8.30 – 5PM
Role description :
* Schedule and coordinate daily workloads for nationwide field engineers.
* Plan installations, maintenance visits, inspections, repairs and reactive call-outs.
* Allocate work based on engineer skills, location, availability and customer priority.
* Respond quickly to urgent and emergency requests, adjusting schedules where required.
* Liaise with customers to arrange appointments and provide regular updates.
* Communicate daily with engineers regarding work schedules, site information and changes.
* Monitor engineer progress throughout the day and proactively resolve scheduling issues.
* Coordinate travel, accommodation and logistics for engineers where required.
* Ensure all works are completed within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
* Raise and manage work orders using the company's scheduling and job management systems.
* Maintain accurate records of customer communications, appointments and completed works.
* Monitor outstanding jobs and ensure prompt completion and closure.
* Assist with planning larger installation projects and resource allocation.
* Work closely with the Sales, Projects and Service teams to ensure smooth delivery of customer projects.
* Support the Operations Manager with reporting and administrative tasks.
* Promote excellent customer service at every stage of the scheduling process.
Qualifications:
* Experience arranging engineers diaries and scheduling of jobs (essential)
* Experience within engineering, construction, facilities management, utilities or fuel storage industries.
* Good telephone manner (experience dealing with customers is essential)
* Strong organisational skills
* Strong IT skills (MS Office, excel etc…)
* Previous experience in a similar role working within a fast paced environment.
