Description

We're looking for experienced Pipe Layers to join our growing Construction (Trades & Labour) team. If you take pride in quality workmanship, work safely and want consistent long-term work on major projects, we'd like to hear from you.
Working as part of an experienced drainage gang, you'll install underground drainage systems safely and efficiently while maintaining the high standards expected on Careys projects.
Key Responsibilities
Install foul, surface water and storm drainage systems.
Lay clay, concrete and plastic pipework to specification.
Read and interpret drainage drawings and levels.
Install manholes, chambers and associated drainage structures.
Ensure correct line, level and gradient of pipe installations.
Work safely within trenches and excavations.
Work closely with Groundworkers, Plant Operatives and Supervisors.
Maintain excellent housekeeping and comply with all Health & Safety procedures.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential
Proven experience working as a Pipe Layer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
Valid CSCS Card.
Experience installing deep drainage systems.
Ability to read drainage drawings and work to line and level.
Strong understanding of trench safety and excavation work.
Reliable with a strong work ethic.
Desirable
Confined Space Training.
CPCS or NPORS Plant tickets.
Street Works qualification.
Security Clearance
Security Clearance Requirement:All successful applicants will be required to undergo BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance before starting on site.
The clearance process typically takes 2–6 weeks.
