Programme / Delivery Lead - Contract Opportunity
Day Rate: £625-£650 (Inside IR35)
Contract Length: 3 months (extension unlikely at this stage)
Location: Fully Remote

We are currently supporting a Government Public Sector client in securing an experienced Programme / Delivery Lead to drive the successful delivery of a complex, multi-stream programme.
This is a high-impact role, ideal for a seasoned professional who can quickly embed into a fast-paced environment and provide structure, governance, and strategic oversight across multiple delivery workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead long-term programme planning and maintain core programme documentation
Establish and manage robust governance, reporting, and approvals processes
Oversee PMO activities across multiple interdependent workstreams
Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and critical paths, ensuring timely escalation
Maintain delivery momentum, particularly during periods of reduced team capacity
Align internal teams and external suppliers into a single, coordinated delivery approach
Key Requirements
Essential:
Proven experience delivering complex, multi-year programmes across policy, commercial, and technical areas
Formal programme/project management qualifications (PRINCE2, MSP, APM, PMI)
Strong governance and senior stakeholder management experience (SROs, boards)
Demonstrable ability to build relationships across government and with suppliers/ALBs
Excellent planning, RAID management, and dependency tracking skills
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present clear options and recommendations to senior stakeholders
