Multi Trade Operative – Guildford & Surrounding Areas
We are looking for skilled and adaptable Multi Trade Operatives to join our team supporting a long-term housing maintenance contract across Guildford and the surrounding locations.
As a specialist in property maintenance and refurbishment services, we work with housing providers and public sector organisations to deliver reliable repairs, improvements and compliance services that help create safe, well-maintained homes for residents.
The Role
You will be responsible for completing a variety of responsive repairs and maintenance tasks within occupied residential properties. The role requires a customer-focused approach, strong trade skills and the ability to complete high-quality work efficiently.
You will have access to digital tools and support systems designed to help manage your workload and provide everything needed to deliver an excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
*
Complete plastering repairs and associated works to a high standard
*
Carry out plumbing repairs and small installations where required
*
Undertake carpentry, joinery and general repair tasks
*
Complete a range of multi-skilled maintenance activities within residential properties
*
Work independently while also contributing positively as part of a wider team
*
Maintain high standards of health and safety, workmanship and customer care
*
Diagnose issues and provide effective repair solutions
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
*
Strong plastering experience, ideally supported by an NVQ Level 2 qualification
*
Experience across additional trades such as plumbing and carpentry
*
The ability to identify faults and complete repairs effectively
*
A practical approach with good attention to detail
*
Previous experience working in occupied/tenanted properties
*
Confidence using handheld technology or PDA systems
*
Relevant trade qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 minimum preferred)
*
A full, valid UK driving licence
*
The ability to pass a DBS check
*
Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
*
A professional attitude with excellent customer service skills
