We are working on behalf of our client to recruit an experienced Vehicle Technician for their busy dealership in Derby, Derbyshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional seeking a role within a modern, well-equipped workshop environment, offering excellent career development and work-life balance.
Benefits for the successful Vehicle Technician:
Basic salary of £35,000 – £45,000, dependent on qualifications and experience
Monday to Friday working hours, 8:00am – 5:30pm
No weekend work required
Overtime paid at time and a half
Ongoing EV & Hybrid training programmes

Modern workshop with a varied workloadDuties of the Vehicle Technician:
Conduct servicing, maintenance, and vehicle health checks
Diagnose faults using the latest diagnostic equipment
Carry out mechanical repairs across various vehicle makes and models
Prepare used vehicles to a retail standard
Perform MOT testing where qualified
Ensure work is completed efficiently and to high standards
Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation
Collaborate with the workshop team to maintain productivity and qualityRequirements:
Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic
Strong diagnostic and servicing skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
MOT licence is advantageous but not essential
