An award-winning building services and sustainability consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior or Associate Electrical Engineer to join its growing London office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to play a leading role in the design and delivery of innovative, low-carbon building services projects across a diverse range of sectors.

Whether you're an established Senior Engineer looking to take the next step, or an experienced Associate seeking a new challenge, you'll join a collaborative multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality engineering solutions that support clients' sustainability and net zero ambitions.

The Role

You will lead the electrical design of building services projects from concept through to completion, working closely with mechanical, sustainability, and BIM teams. Depending on your level of experience, you'll also contribute to project leadership, client development, team mentoring, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the electrical design of building services projects across commercial, residential, healthcare, education, life sciences, and mixed-use developments.
Produce and review electrical designs, calculations, specifications, reports, and technical documentation.
Design power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms, security systems, small power, and renewable energy installations.
Carry out electrical load assessments, cable sizing, lighting calculations, and fault level studies.
Collaborate with sustainability specialists to deliver low-carbon and energy-efficient design solutions.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams throughout project delivery.
Attend client meetings, design reviews, and site inspections.
Mentor and support junior engineers, providing technical guidance and quality assurance.
Ensure all work complies with current Building Regulations, BS7671, CIBSE guidance, and industry best practice.
Manage project programmes, budgets, and resource allocation.
At Associate level, contribute to client relationship management, work-winning activities, and the strategic growth of the electrical engineering team.About You

The successful candidate will have:

A degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
Significant experience delivering electrical building services designs within a consultancy environment.
Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, BS7671, CIBSE guidance, and sustainable building design.
Proficiency with industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech/Trimble ProDesign, Dialux or Relux.
Excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills.
Experience managing projects and coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.
A passion for mentoring and developing junior engineers.
Chartered Engineer (CEng) status, or working towards chartership with the IET or CIBSE.
For Associate-level applicants, experience in client management, business development, and leading project teams would be highly advantageous.What's on Offer
