Business Development Manager – Manufacturing / Industrial Chemicals

Location: London & East London (Field-Based)
Salary: £45,000 + Uncapped Commission + Company Car + Benefits

Are you a driven sales professional with experience in manufacturing, industrial products, or the chemical sector? Do you thrive on winning new business while building long-term relationships with existing customers?

An established and growing manufacturer is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to cover London and East London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading business that supplies specialist products to a wide range of industrial customers.

The Role

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for driving sales growth across your territory by developing new business opportunities and managing existing customer accounts.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Identifying and securing new business opportunities across your region.

* Managing and developing relationships with existing customers.

* Conducting regular customer visits and product demonstrations.

* Understanding customer requirements and providing technical sales support where required.

* Preparing quotations, negotiating contracts, and closing sales.

* Working closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service.

* Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.

* Achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.

About You

We're looking for someone who is commercially driven, self-motivated, and enjoys working autonomously.

You'll ideally have:

* Proven experience in Business Development, Area Sales, or Territory Sales.

* A background within manufacturing, industrial chemicals, adhesives, coatings, construction products, or another technical manufacturing environment.

* A strong track record of generating new business and growing existing accounts.

* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

* Confidence in managing a field-based sales territory.

* A full UK driving licence.
