Our client, a well-established multi-franchise approved car dealership located in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Workshop Controller to join their dynamic Service Department. Salary starting negotiable, dependent on experience and current earnings
On-target earnings of approximately £40,000 per annum through performance-related bonuses
31 days annual leave, increasing with length of service

Oversee day-to-day workshop operations, managing a team of 12 to 15 Vehicle Technicians
Liaise with the Service Manager and team to ensure efficient workflow and process improvement
Communicate technical and customer requirements clearly to colleagues
Monitor individual and workshop productivity to meet key performance indicators
Plan and allocate work efficiently based on skills and workload
Identify training needs and support team development
Manage communication between workshop and service reception regarding vehicle progress
Ensure workshop standards align with manufacturer standards and customer satisfaction goals
Maintain health, safety, and operational standards within the workshop
Ensure compliance with brand service requirements and customer care metricsRequirements of the Workshop Controller:
Proven experience as a Workshop Controller within a main dealership environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Results-oriented with effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Good organisational and team management skills
IT literacy and familiarity with workshop management systems
Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
Resident within or close to Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
