AV Design Engineer
Salary: Up to £45,000
Location: Surrey
Working Pattern: Hybrid
Are you an experienced AV Design Engineer looking to work on some of the UK's most impressive residential technology projects?
This is an opportunity to join a highly respected systems integration business delivering bespoke smart home, audio visual, lighting control, networking and security solutions for luxury residential properties. With a strong reputation for quality and attention to detail, every project is designed to the highest standard and delivered by an experienced in house team.
The Role
As an AV Design Engineer, you will play a key role in transforming client requirements into detailed technical designs that allow projects to be delivered successfully from concept through to completion.
Working closely with sales, project managers and engineers, you will be responsible for producing accurate system designs and technical documentation for high end residential installations.
Responsibilities
Design integrated AV and smart home systems for luxury residential projects
Produce system schematics, equipment schedules and technical drawings
Create Bills of Materials and accurate project documentation
Carry out site surveys where required
Work alongside project delivery teams to ensure designs are technically achievable
Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle
Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure the correct products are specified
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
Previous experience designing residential AV systems
A strong understanding of audio visual technologies, control systems, networking and home automation
Experience using AutoCAD or similar design software
Excellent technical and organisational skills
The ability to communicate confidently with both clients and internal teams
A passion for producing high quality technical documentation
