Nu Staff are recruiting for Production Operatives to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Ammanford, specialising in the production of sash windows. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy production environment on a temp to perm basis, with structured training and a supportive working environment. Candidates are needed to start as soon as Monday on the afternoon shift, subject to a successful interview.

As a Production Operative, you'll support the efficient and high-quality manufacture of windows by operating machinery, assembling components, and following production processes to meet daily targets.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday: 6:00AM – 2:00PM
Monday to Thursday: 2:00PM – 12:00AM
Pay Rates

£12.71 per hour
Key Responsibilities

Operate production line machinery and tools safely and efficiently to manufacture sash windows in accordance with company standards
Assemble window components including frames, sashes, glazing, and hardware to precise specifications
Carry out quality checks at various stages of production to ensure all products meet required quality and safety standards
Follow detailed work instructions, technical drawings, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace in line with health and safety regulations
Report any defects, equipment issues, or safety concerns to a team leader or supervisor promptly
Meet hourly and daily production targets while maintaining high attention to detail and product accuracy
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to identify process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives
Support loading and unloading of materials as required, and ensure accurate labelling and storage of finished products
Participate in regular training and toolbox talks to stay compliant with company procedures and health & safety updates
Requirements

Previous experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production environment
Ability to follow health and safety procedures and work instructions precisely
Strong attention to detail to ensure consistent quality and accuracy in work
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Basic problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and report faults
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors
Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes, machinery, or production methods
