Job Title: Pipe Layer – Sheffield

Location: Sheffield

Start Date: Immediate start (commencing next week)

Duration: 8 weeks

Job Description:

Norse are currently recruiting for an experienced Pipe Layer to join a live groundworks scheme in Sheffield, starting next week on an 8-week contract.

The successful candidate will be working on drainage/utility installation at depths of 2–3 metres, so previous experience working in deep excavations is essential.

Duties will include:

* Laying pipework accurately to line and level in excavations 2–3m deep

* Working from drawings/spec to install drainage, water, or utility pipe runs

* Jointing and connecting pipes to the required standard

* Working safely within confined/deep excavations, following all site safety procedures

* Assisting with shoring, trench boxes, or other excavation support systems as required

* Backfilling and compacting once pipework has been laid and signed off

* Liaising with the site team/foreman to ensure work progresses to programme

* General groundworks duties as required

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Pipe Layer, ideally with deep excavation experience (2–3m+)

* Valid CSCS card

* Confined Space / SSSTS (desirable)

* Own PPE

* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
