Assistant Farm Manager - Broilers
Location: Dereham
Salary: £33,300 per annum
Hours: 44 hours per week including weekend work
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Farm Manager to join a leading, large-scale poultry operation. If you are a dedicated professional committed to high welfare standards and operational efficiency, this is an ideal opportunity to advance your career.
The Role
Reporting to the Farm Manager, you will support the daily running of the farm, ensuring production protocols are strictly followed.
Bird Welfare: Maintain optimum environmental conditions (ventilation, lighting, litter).
Operations: Conduct health inspections, manage feed/water intake, and oversee site maintenance.
Compliance: Enforce rigorous biosecurity and health & safety standards.
Reporting: Accurately log production data and resolve any anomalies.
Support: Assist with bird placement/depletion and cover the weekend/alarm rota.
About You
Experience: Proven background in poultry farming, specifically broiler production.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently.
Requirements: Full UK driving licence and reliable transport (rural location).
Flexibility: Prepared for a varied schedule, including early starts and weekend commitments.
