Operations Manager

Annual Salary: £50k - £55k plus performance bonus.
Location: Birmingham.
Job Type: Full-time.We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our food manufacturing facility. This role is crucial for ensuring that all food products are manufactured to the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. The Operations Manager will support and work closely with the factory floor manager, lead cross-functional teams, drive operational excellence, and report directly to the CEO and Finance Director.

Day-to-day of the role:

Manage and oversee daily factory operations including production, warehousing, and logistics.
Support the maintenance and improvement of the site's Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
Ensure all products are manufactured to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Work closely with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure material availability.
Assist in the implementation, monitoring, and review of HACCP plans and prerequisite programs.
Maintain audit readiness and support external inspections.
Deputise for the Technical Manager when required.
Monitor CCPs, GMP standards, hygiene practices, and allergen control across the factory.
Promote a culture of food safety, hygiene, and quality across the site.Required Skills & Qualifications:

Extensive experience in food manufacturing.
Working knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS, and food safety legislation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage across teams.
Analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
HACCP Level 3 (minimum; Level 4 desirable).
Experience of supplier interaction.Benefits:
