We are looking for an experienced Plater to join our client's growing team, working with heavy gauge steel on a variety of fabrication projects.
Location: Worsley
Pay Rate: £17.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 10-hour shifts (38 hours per week)
About the Role
As a Plater, you will be responsible for marking out, assembling, and fabricating heavy gauge steel components to engineering drawings. You'll work as part of a skilled fabrication team, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret engineering drawings.
Mark out, fabricate, and assemble heavy gauge steel components.
Use a range of fabrication tools and equipment.
Carry out quality checks to ensure work meets specifications.
Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
Work efficiently to meet production deadlines.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Plater, ideally working with heavy gauge steel.
Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
Strong fabrication and assembly skills.
Good attention to detail.
Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards.
What We Offer
£17.50 per hour.
Four-day working week (Monday to Thursday).
38-hour working week with long weekends every week.
