We're looking for a confident, experienced Employment Lawyer to step into a fast-paced, high-impact role supporting our Legal Services team.
This is a hands-on litigation role - you'll be managing tribunal cases from day one, attending hearings, and providing clear, practical advice across the organisation. If you enjoy autonomy, complex caseloads, and being trusted to deliver - this role is for you.
💼 What you'll be doing
Running a busy employment tribunal caseload from start to finish
Representing the organisation at tribunal hearings (mainly short hearings)
Providing straightforward, pragmatic advice to managers, schools, and academies
Supporting on policy, drafting and compliance work (including Employment Rights developments)
Handling sensitive and complex matters with confidence and professionalism
✅ What we're looking for
Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive (England & Wales)
Strong experience in employment tribunal litigation
Confident advocate (or willing to undertake advocacy)
Able to work independently and prioritise effectively
Ideally experienced working with local authorities, schools, or public bodies
Available to start immediately or at short notice
