We are currently recruiting for 4 x Inventory / Stock Controllers in the Swindon area to start asap.
About the Stock Controller role:
* Monday to Friday operation
* 9am-5:30pm
* £12.71ph, weekly pay
* Temporary ongoing role wih potential for permanent role after 12 weeks
* Based in Swindon (SN25)
Key Responsibilities for the Stock Controller role:
Due to an updated / new layout in warehouse operation stock needs to be reallocated / moved to optimise pick operation.
* Move / re-allocate stock in to new racking system using MHE / manually
* Maintain accurate stock levels through regular cycle counts, stock checks, and reconciliations
* Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly
* Monitor inbound and outbound stock movements and update systems accordingly
* Update WMS/ERP systems with stock adjustments, movements, and corrections.
* Assist with physical and system‑based stock audits, including year‑end counts
* Identify and isolate damaged, slow-moving, or obsolete items and report accordingly
* Ensure stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO) is followed
* Liaise with internal teams to ensure stock accuracy aligns with operational needs.
* Report stock risks, shortages, or discrepancies to management
Experience / Skills required for the Stock Controller role:
* Previous experience in a stock control or inventory role
* Strong understanding of warehouse operations and stock control processes.
* Be comfortable with manual / physical work as this role will involve movement of stock
* Experience using WMS/ERP systems
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
