Integration Manager -Swindon- Permanent- Up to £70,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Integration Manager to establish and lead a brand-new Integration and Test Cell within a rapidly growing aerospace and defence manufacturing environment.
This is a unique greenfield role where you will build the operation from the ground up—designing the facility layout, defining processes, selecting equipment, recruiting the team, and delivering flight-ready unmanned aircraft platforms at scale.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the setup and commissioning of the Integration and Test Cell.
* Recruit, develop and manage a high-performing integration and test team.
* Define processes, work instructions and quality standards.
* Own system integration, functional testing and final product acceptance.
* Drive industrialisation from prototype and low-rate production to serial manufacture.
* Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain teams.
* Host customer acceptance activities and ensure delivery to schedule, quality and cost targets.
* Champion Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and data-driven decision making.
About You
You will have:
* Significant experience leading integration, final assembly or test teams within aerospace, defence, automotive or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
* A proven track record of setting up new production cells, lines or facilities.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical integration, testing and configuration management.
* Experience building and developing teams in a manufacturing setting.
* A hands-on leadership style with a passion for continuous improvement.
