£37,000-£43,000 + Company Vehicle + Training & Career Development

Salary, Benefits & Hours

£37,000-£43,000 per annum, depending on experience
Company vehicle, tools and equipment provided
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service
Monday-Friday, 40-hour working week
Occasional overnight stays and weekend work required

Role Overview

Carry out installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of laboratory equipment at customer sites
Diagnose faults and perform repairs to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely
Complete service reports and associated documentation accurately using digital systems
Provide operator training and technical guidance to customers where required
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures and industry standards

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a field service, installation or maintenance engineering role
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills with a practical approach
Electrical or electro-mechanical engineering background
Excellent customer-facing communication and organisational skills
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as part of the role

Desirable Experience

Experience working with laboratory or scientific equipment
Electrical qualifications such as 18th Edition
Commissioning, validation or calibration experience
IOSH, CSCS or similar industry-recognised certifications
Experience working within regulated or compliance-driven environments

Work Location

Home-based field service position
Ideally located around Sheffield, Nottingham or the wider A1/M1 corridor
Covering Northern England with occasional travel into Scotland
Mixture of planned maintenance, installation and commissioning activities
Regular travel as part of day-to-day responsibilitiesThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Laboratory Field Service Engineer to join a well-established technical manufacturing business, supporting customers across a diverse range of scientific, research and industrial environments.
