Do you want to work for a food manufacturer, part of a larger European group, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. Due to growth within the site they are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to coordinate everything related to food safety, quality & hygiene standards.

Role & responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Manager:

Maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
Lead a team of Quality Assurance & Hygiene Technicians
Ensure company HACCP plans are up-to-date
Coordinate all elements of food safety, quality, hygiene & legality processes
Make sure food safety & quality checks are completed from schedules
Raw materials and finished product testing programme is maintained
Internal audits, monitor KPi's and team compliance
Make sure pest control & hygiene schedules are followed
Investigate non-conformances & complaints recieved and implement corrective actions

Knowledge, skills & experience needed to be a Quality Assurance Manager:

At least 5 years experience in a similar quality leader or manager position
Internal audit experience
Ideally degree qualified in science / food safety related subjects
Must have worked in food manufacturing previously
Knowledge of pest control, HACCP to BRCGS standards
Good people management, organisational & prioritisation skills
Experienced in reporting, dealing with data and use of QMS
Proactive and able to think on own initiative
