Site Engineer

Our client, a leading consultancy in the highways sector, is currently seeking a Freelance Site Engineer to join the team on a contract basis. This role is centred around a public realm improvement scheme in the busy town centre. specifically supporting highway works as part of a dynamic and dedicated site team.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out engineering checks in line with quality and compliance requirements
Supporting quality management processes, including ITPs and inspections
Managing and responding to TQs and RFIs, liaising with the client's design team
Working closely with the Site Agent, Foreman, and subcontractor engineers
Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with specifications and standards
Coordinating client sign-off for quality inspections
Raising and managing NCRs where required
Undertaking surveying duties as needed

Job Requirements:

Proven experience in a Site Engineer role within highways or public realm projects
Strong understanding of quality assurance and engineering compliance
CSCS card (essential)
SSSTS or SMSTS preferred
