Are you an experienced Payroll Executive looking for your next challenge? We're recruiting on behalf of our client for a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and supportive payroll team in Portsmouth, where you'll manage your own portfolio of clients and deliver an efficient, accurate payroll service.

This is a client-focused role that offers plenty of variety, giving you the opportunity to oversee the full payroll cycle while building strong relationships with clients and ensuring compliance with the latest payroll legislation. Key Responsibilities

Process end-to-end payrolls for a portfolio of clients, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Accurately process starters, leavers, salary changes, overtime, bonuses and statutory payments.
Manage workplace pensions, including auto-enrolment and pension submissions.
Complete RTI submissions and year-end payroll processes.
Carry out payroll validation checks to ensure accuracy before final processing.
Respond to payroll enquiries from clients, HMRC and third-party providers.
Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data.
Monitor payroll legislation and implement relevant changes where required.
Support colleagues within the payroll team to ensure an excellent service is delivered to clients.
Build positive working relationships with clients, acting as a trusted point of contact for payroll-related queries.
Skills & Experience

Previous end-to-end payroll experience, ideally gained within a bureau or accountancy practice.
Good working knowledge of PAYE, payroll legislation, pensions and auto-enrolment.
Experience processing statutory payments and maintaining payroll compliance.
Confident using payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Able to manage multiple deadlines within a busy environment.
A professional and customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
A proactive team player who enjoys delivering a high-quality payroll service.
