The Opportunity
Wolviston Management Services are proud to be supporting our client in the appointment of a Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team based in Fellside.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding engineering business delivering specialist mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical solutions across a varied industrial client base.

You will play a key role in supporting both workshop and site-based activities, ensuring equipment reliability, rapid fault resolution, and high-quality engineering delivery across multiple projects.

The Role
As Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting a wide range of mechanical engineering activities, working both independently and as part of a multi-disciplined team.

You will be involved in installation, maintenance, fault finding and repair of mechanical systems, with a strong focus on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out mechanical installation, maintenance and repair across industrial environments
Diagnose faults and implement effective repair solutions across mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Support breakdown response activities, delivering fast and effective solutions
Work on pumps, valves, pipework and fluid-based systems
Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
Assist with system builds, modifications and commissioning activities
Ensure all work is carried out in line with health, safety and quality standards
Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
Provide technical support and advice to customers where required What We're Looking For

Proven experience in a mechanical engineering role within an industrial environment
Strong working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Ability to fault find, diagnose and repair mechanical equipment
Experience working both in a workshop and on-site environments
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
A proactive and hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills
Full UK driving licence (desirable due to site-based work) What's on Offer
