The Opportunity
Due to continued growth and increasing project demand within the UK nuclear sector, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Management Lead to join a major infrastructure programme. Working within a collaborative and highly regulated environment, you will be responsible for ensuring quality standards are embedded throughout the supply chain and project lifecycle.
This role offers the opportunity to work on nationally significant projects, engaging with multiple stakeholders and suppliers to drive compliance, continuous improvement, and Right First-Time delivery. You will play a key role in assuring supplier performance, managing quality documentation, overseeing inspections and audits, and supporting successful project delivery.

Your duties and responsibilities will be
Implement and maintain Project Quality Control Plans (PQCPs)
Ensure supplier compliance with quality assurance, quality control, and contractual requirements
Coordinate supplier inspections, surveillance activities, audits, and testing programmes
Review quality documentation, manufacturing records, construction records, and Lifetime Quality Records (LTQRs)
Monitor non-conformances and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively
Support quality release and project handover activities
Act as an Intelligent Customer, overseeing supply chain quality performance and assurance activities
Produce quality reports and communicate performance metrics to key stakeholders
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality performance and compliance
Support the delivery of safe, high quality, and compliant project outcomes
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
Experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within the nuclear sector or other safety critical industries
Experience conducting supplier audits, inspections, surveillance activities, and supply chain assurance reviews
Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 19443, IAEA GSR-2, and Quality Management Systems
Experience managing non conformances, corrective actions, and quality documentation
Strong stakeholder management, communication, reporting, and problem solving skills
HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline
It’s great if you also have the following
Lead Auditor qualification
Experience working on major infrastructure, construction, engineering, or nuclear new build projects
Knowledge of Lifetime Quality Records management
Experience within complex multi supplier environments
Understanding of quality release and handover processes
Membership of a relevant professional institution
Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives
The setting for the role
This position offers a hybrid working arrangement with a combination of office, project, and remote working. You will be working within a collaborative project environment supporting major nuclear and energy infrastructure programmes.
The role requires close interaction with project teams, suppliers, contractors, and client stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of quality assurance and quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle. Occasional travel may be required to supplier, manufacturing, and project sites to support audits, inspections, and assurance activities.
