Our client is looking for a Mechanical Technician to work with an exciting, positive & dynamic maintenance team providing essential services, support and added value through their facilities & infrastructure to a number of leading Global Companies.
You will be responsible for keeping the the plant and vehicles on site running and operational carrying out daily inspections and ppm.
Responsibilities:
* Repairing and servicing plant and equipment when equipment breakdowns occur.
* Daily inspections and service of plant such as FLT’s, Trailers , Cranes etc.
* To ensure each operation is planned, supervised and carried out in a safe manner.
* Implement corrective actions identified by key maintenance performance indicators as a means to create overall equipment effectiveness.
* Liaising with Operations Team / Management to ensure allocated resources are effective.
* Ensure daily shift reports and processes are completed each day with relevant data.
* Conduct daily shift briefings to communicate work instructions with employees and immediate team.
* Working with the current supervisor to his instruction and providing supervisory support when nescasary
* Conform to all relevant HS&E regulations and relevant standards.
The Person
* Knowledge of machinery, hydraulic electrical and other systems
* Experienced in servicing, testing and repairing vehicles, plant and equipment
* Experience in a supervisory manner desirable
* Experience with mechanical HGV fitting
* Full clean driving license
* Flexible attitude to overtime as on call rota in place
* Good IT and communication skills
