LCV Vehicle Technician
Location: Southampton
Salary: £40,045 basic per annum plus bonus and overtime
Hours: 42.5 hours, Monday - Friday

We’re recruiting an experienced LCV Technician in the Southampton area. You’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks and vans, covering engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical systems. You should be confident using diagnostic tools and committed to delivering high quality work. Previous experience with commercial vehicles and a proactive attitude is essential.

LCV Responsibilities
• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used
• Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques
LCV Technician Requirements
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Minimum one year’s experience working as a technician on commercial/light commercial vehicles
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and software
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Full UK driving licence
