Civil Engineer
Location: Bristol (Hybrid – 3 days in the office)
Salary: Up to £70,000
Hours: 40 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced permanent Civil Engineer to join a major engineering programme supporting the delivery of a high-profile infrastructure project. This role offers the chance to provide technical leadership across the full civil detailing lifecycle, working with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders in a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical advice and support throughout the civil detailing contract package lifecycle.
Review, oversee, and approve civil detailing deliverables to ensure technical quality.
Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, governance requirements, and replication principles.
Manage both pre-contract activities, including tendering and requirements definition, and post-contract design delivery.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensuring technical requirements, deliverables, and competencies are aligned.
Act as the primary technical interface between internal and external stakeholders.
Manage design risks, configuration control, and programme deviations.
Chair technical meetings, design reviews, workshops, and progress reporting sessions.About
You You'll be a technically capable Civil Engineer with strong leadership skills and experience managing complex engineering design activities. You will be comfortable working with multiple stakeholders while maintaining high technical and quality standards.
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong technical leadership and team coordination experience.
Excellent understanding of civil engineering design processes.
Proven stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience managing complex technical interfaces and resolving engineering issues.
Knowledge of nuclear industry standards, replication methodologies, and configuration management.
Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
Experience within civil detailing or detailed design environments.
