Primary Supply Teacher - Blackpool & The Fylde Coast

Location: Blackpool, Lytham St Annes, Fleetwood, Poulton-le-Fylde

Job Type: Flexible (Daily Cover) or Full-Time (Long-Term)

Duration: Autumn Term (September 2026 - December 2026)

Salary: £120 - £168.80+ per day (Dependent on role)

Are you a primary educator looking for teaching work in Blackpool that fits your lifestyle for the new school year? Whether you want to enjoy a great work-life balance through flexible daily cover this Autumn, or aim to secure a long-term placement for the first term of the academic year, we have the perfect opportunity for you.

Choose Your Path: Flexibility vs. Career Progression

We offer two distinct ways to work, allowing you to choose the level of responsibility that fits your current needs:

1. Daily Ad-hoc Cover (£120 - £150 per day)

The Ultimate Work-Life Balance

This is the ideal role for teachers seeking part-time work or those who want total control of their availability, choosing exactly which days they work each week throughout the Autumn term.

The Role: Deliver pre-planned lessons provided by the school. When the bell rings, your day is done.

The Benefits: No planning, no assessment, and no staff meetings. It is an excellent "stepping stone" to explore different school environments across the Fylde Coast without a long-term commitment.

Requirements: High-quality lesson delivery, marking the day's work, and ensuring a tidy classroom reset.

2. Long-Term Teaching Contracts (£168.80+ per day)

Secure Your Future for the Term

September is the busiest time of the year for long-term block placements and maternity cover. Many of our teachers also use daily cover as a "working interview"-the exposure you gain from daily assignments this term is the most effective way to secure a permanent contract in the schools you enjoy most.

The Role: Take full ownership of a class, including planning, assessment, and wider school contributions such as parents' evenings and staff meetings.

The Benefits: Gain deep experience within a specific school community, often leading to internal contracts and permanent recruitment for January.

Pay: Paid to the M-Scale (minimum £168.80 per day).

Why Choose Tradewind Education?

We are committed to supporting our educators at every stage of their career. When you join us for the 2026/2027 academic year, you benefit from:

Sunday Times Top 100 Employer: We are proud to have held this title for four years running.

Top Industry Pay: We ensure you are paid fairly for your expertise and hard work.

AWR Protection: Ensuring your rights and pay are protected from day one.

Free Training: Gain complimentary access to 2,500+ certified CPD courses via The National College to keep your skills sharp and your CV stand out.

Requirements

To be successful in these roles, you must meet the following criteria:

Qualified Teacher Status: You must be a qualified primary teacher and able to provide proof of QTS (ECTs starting their career this September are highly welcome to apply).

Proven Experience: You must have previous classroom teaching experience. This can be from teacher training (placements), prior permanent roles, or agency work.

References: All experience must be fully referenceable.

Local Commute: Candidates should be comfortable with travel to schools up to 30 minutes away within the Fylde Coast area.
