Are you passionate about helping children overcome trauma and build brighter futures?
The Farmhouse is a small, therapeutic children's home in Great Haywood, Staffordshire, providing specialist care for up to three children aged 5–12. Using our unique Prep4Fostering model, we help children who have experienced significant early life trauma develop the emotional security, resilience and life skills they need to successfully transition into long-term foster families.
Our approach is trauma-informed, therapeutically led and relationship-focused. You'll work alongside an experienced and supportive team, with regular guidance from our dedicated Clinical Psychologist, ensuring you have the support needed to deliver exceptional care.
Whether you're an experienced Residential Support Worker or looking to take the next step into a Senior role, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
As part of our dedicated team, you will:
* Provide high-quality therapeutic care in a safe, nurturing home environment.
* Support children with daily routines, education, activities and family time.
* Help children develop emotional resilience, independence and confidence.
* Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning.
Essential:
* Full UK driving licence.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Willingness to work 24-hour shifts, including sleep-ins.
* A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Commitment to providing high-quality, child-centred therapeutic care.
Desirable:
* Experience in children's residential care.
* Experience supporting children affected by trauma or emotional and behavioural needs.
* PRICE, Team Teach or similar behaviour management training.
* Knowledge of trauma-informed practice.
We also welcome applications from experienced Residential Support Workers who hold the required Level 3 qualification and are ready to progress into a Senior role.
