Are you an experienced Mechanical Estimator looking for a better work-life balance?
We're working with a well-established Mechanical Building Services Contractor based in Essex who is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Estimator to support their pre-construction team three days per week.
The company is open to engaging someone on either a permanent part-time basis or a contract/day-rate arrangement, making this an ideal opportunity for someone approaching the latter stages of their career who still enjoys estimating but is looking to reduce their working week.
You'll work closely with the Directors, pricing a varied range of mechanical projects across London and the South East.
The Role
Prepare accurate mechanical tenders from first principles.
Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
Carry out quantity take-offs.
Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations.
Produce competitive tender submissions.
Raise technical and commercial tender queries.
Work closely with the Directors throughout the tender process.
Attend site visits where required.

What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within Building Services.
Strong knowledge of mechanical services including HVAC and plumbing.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
A practical, hands-on approach with strong communication skills.
