We are currently seeking an experienced Refrigeration / Air Conditioning Service Engineer to join a growing, family-run building services business. This is a field-based role covering London and the South East, with the majority of work centred around East London.
This position offers the opportunity to play a key part in the development of a newly expanding service division, with genuine long-term progression into a supervisory or team leader capacity.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive breakdowns, servicing, and commissioning works
* Majority service-focused workload (~95%), with a small proportion of installation work
* Work across commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems (approximately 50/50 split)
* Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard
* Represent the company professionally across client sites
* Support the growth and structure of the service function as it develops
Candidate Requirements
* Proven background in refrigeration and/or air conditioning service engineering
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Confident working independently across varied commercial environments
* Ability to manage workload and respond effectively to reactive demands
* Must be able to work across London and surrounding areas
* Ideally based in Essex, East London, or Kent (East London preferred)
* Short notice period preferred
* Must not be self-employed
Package & Benefits
* £45,000 – £50,000 basic salary (dependent on experience)

* Door-to-door travel may be considered for the right candidate
