Contract/Project
Document Controller – Solar / Civils (Contract)
Three live solar farm projects.
Thousands of drawings. At least one subcontractor convinced they're looking at the latest revision when they definitely aren't.
We're looking for a Document Controller to keep the paperwork under control across three live schemes:
St Neots
Hitchin
SleafordRealistically, you'll spend most of your time between St Neots and Hitchin, with occasional visits to Lincolnshire.
This isn't a polished corporate office. It's a civils project.
The site teams are good people, but they're straight-talking and the odd F-bomb is simply part of site life. If you've worked around civils, utilities, renewables or infrastructure before, you'll feel right at home.
Ideally you'll have experience in:
Solar farms
Renewables
Battery storage
Wind farms
CivilsThey're currently using SharePoint (having moved away from Procore) and will soon be introducing Firefly.
You'll be:
Managing project documentation across all three sites
Controlling drawings, RFIs and technical information
Keeping revision registers up to date
Making sure everyone is working from the latest information... rather than the drawing someone printed three weeks ago.The essentials:
Contractor-side Document Controller experience
Able to work on site
Organised, proactive and happy chasing people when needed
Immediate start
Initial 3-4 month contract (with every chance of extending)If you've ever said, "No... that's Revision C. We're on Revision G now," this role will probably feel very familiar.
