CAD Operator / Designer
Location: Orpington
Salary £25 000 DOE
Our client, a growing renewable energy company is looking to recruit a CAD Operator / Designer to join their design team.
The Role
You will Work closely with the Technical and Design team, assisting in the production of technical
drawings, layouts and design documentation for commercial renewable energy projects. This is an
excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is looking to develop their technical
design skills within a fast-paced and supportive environment. The role would suit a recent graduate, college leaver or junior AutoCAD professional with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and revise CAD drawings for commercial solar PV projects
Assist in developing system layouts, schematics, and design documentation
Provide administrative and technical support to the wider engineering team
Keep drawing registers and revision records accurate and up to date
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and surveyors as needed
Ensure all drawings meet required quality and internal standards
Support design changes and coordination for site-specific requirementsRequirements
Prior experience using CAD software (AutoCAD preferred)
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational ability
Clear and effective communication skills
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn
Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
