About The Role

Currie & Brown is looking for an Associate/Associate Director Building Surveyor to join our Jersey office (we will consider Director level for the right candidate). You’ll be part of a high-performing team delivering professional and project building surveying services across private and public sector clients.

In this role, you’ll help win work, lead delivery, and support the development of our building surveying offering locally - bringing technical excellence, commercial awareness, and a collaborative approach. The work spans design and specification, clerk of works, contract administration, building surveys and dilapidations.

What you’ll do

About you

You’ll bring a strong track record delivering building surveying services, building trusted client relationships across the private and/or public sector, and offering broad technical capability across surveys and project delivery. You’re organised, proactive and commercially minded, enjoy working collaboratively and mentoring others, and are confident using industry-standard tools including AutoCAD, NBS, MS Project and Microsoft Office.

* Degree in Building Surveying (BSc) or equivalent.

* MRICS (or working towards chartership with a clear plan and relevant experience).

* Strong report writing and communication skills, with confidence engaging both internally and externally.

* Win new work through your network and by contributing to compelling bids and proposals.

* Lead projects, commissions and professional instructions from inception to completion.

* Maintain clear communication and information flow to support successful delivery and effective financial control.

* Manage client and project teams to deliver services profitably, on programme and to a high standard.

* Undertake site visits and surveys; liaise with contractors, subcontractors, clients and stakeholders as required.

* Lead, coach and motivate building surveyors to produce accurate, timely outputs.

* Build trusted client relationships—representing Currie & Brown professionally in meetings, negotiations and correspondence
