Job Title: People Lead
Location: Barrow In Furness- Hybrid - 3 days onsite
Duration: 6 months contract
Pay Rate: £545 per day all inc. (PAYE through FCSA Umbrella)

About the role you're considering

An exciting opportunity to work as part of a growing UK department supporting multiple clients portfolio. We are looking for a People Lead to support our engineers and subject matter experts in their delivery to our clients. If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service).

Your role

Ensure the support of performance reviews, career conversations and general leadership of people to get the best from them.

Drive the attainment of objectives, contribute to those objectives and drive success overall in the team.

Support, understand and empathise with account challenges and complexities and to ensure resolution of such.

Act as a point of escalation for account issues related to people, resource planning and new work take on.

Manage the costs of resources, undertake hiring and other items to ensure the right people are in the right places.

Where needed, support meetings to resolve concerns, define best practice approaches and ensure successful delivery

Your skills and experience

Knowledge of End User Services/Digital Modern Workplace would be advantageous.

ITIL understanding/applications would be of benefit.

Refined communication and organisational skills and the ability to talk to Engineers, End users, Senior Management, and Third-Party suppliers amongst others.

Experience of leading multidisciplined teams with differing priorities.

Financial acumen for management of costs.

Coaching and/or mentoring experience

Able to resolve and have difficult conversations with regards to approaches and performance.
