Telecoms Field Engineer (multiple vacancies) - Contract (Outside IR35) - Scotland

Evolve IT is supporting a major telecommunications programme and is looking for experienced Telecoms Field Engineers to join a large-scale network deployment across Scotland.

This is a hands-on role working across installation, commissioning, maintenance and network assurance activities within a critical infrastructure environment. You'll be supporting the delivery of telecoms projects across multiple customer sites, working alongside an experienced engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, commissioning and maintenance of telecoms and networking equipment
• Network fault finding, testing and 1st line support
• Site surveys, technical documentation and project handovers
• Routine maintenance and assurance activities

Technical Experience

We're keen to speak with engineers who have experience with a number of the following:

• IP Networking (LAN, WAN, MPLS)
• Routing & Switching
• Cisco & Alcatel Routers/Switches
• Fibre & Pilot Cable Testing
• IP Telephony
• DC Chargers & Power Systems
• CAT5, SWA & Telecoms Cabling

The below expertise would be beneficial:

• Nokia SAR-H & NFM-P
• XTran/MPLS-TP
• SDH/PDH/Commtel
• Microwave Radio Systems

Experience working within utilities, substations or critical national infrastructure would be highly advantageous.

Contract Details

• 6 Month Contract
• £225 per day (Outside IR35)
• Immediate Start
• Hybrid - Glasgow with travel across Scotland
• Full UK Driving Licence Essential
