Occupational Therapist – Rehousing Team
Location: Manchester
Rate: £35 per hour Umbrella/£30.79 PAYE
Contract: Ongoing Contract
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a Local Authority Rehousing Team in Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity to support residents with disabilities, long-term health conditions, and complex needs by carrying out housing and functional assessments and providing recommendations to support rehousing applications.

Key Responsibilities
Undertake functional and housing needs assessments.
Assess how disabilities and health conditions impact an individual's ability to live safely and independently within their home.
Provide professional recommendations to support rehousing decisions.
Complete detailed assessment reports and maintain accurate records.
Work collaboratively with housing teams, social workers, and healthcare professionals.
Support residents in accessing suitable accommodation that meets their assessed needs.
Ensure practice complies with relevant legislation, guidance, and local authority policies.Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
Current HCPC registration.
Previous experience within community, housing, social care, or local authority services.
Strong assessment, report-writing, and case management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.Desirable
Previous experience within a Rehousing, Adaptations, or Housing OT service.
Knowledge of housing legislation and disabled adaptations.
