Job Description:
Role Overview
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering client based in the Birmingham. Due to upcoming retirements, they are looking to add an experienced CNC Toolmaker with a strong milling background to their team.
Apprentice-trained Toolroom Improvers will also be considered.
The Role
You will be involved in the manufacture, modification, and repair of a wide variety of tooling and precision components within a busy toolroom environment.
Typical work includes:
* CNC milling using XYZ machines
* Toolmaking for jigs, fixtures, and production tooling
* One-off and small batch precision components
* Tool repair, maintenance, and modification
What They’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Toolmaker or CNC Miller within a toolroom environment
* Strong CNC milling experience (XYZ controls preferred)
* Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
* Experience with bespoke and one-off work, not just production machining
* Self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset
