This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students across a range of Social Science subjects, including Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, and Health & Social Care. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering engaging lessons, promoting academic achievement, and fostering a positive learning environment where students can thrive.
The Role
As a Social Sciences Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across Social Science subjects at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5
Inspire and motivate students to achieve their academic potential
Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
Support students' personal development and wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a teacher who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Has experience teaching one or more Social Science subjects at secondary level
Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for their specialism
Has excellent classroom management and communication skills
Is committed to raising attainment and supporting student success
Can work effectively as part of a collaborative team
Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to apply for one
