Horizon Teachers are looking to appoint two caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join an all-through school based in Ealing from September. This is an exciting opportunity to support children whilst working closely with class teachers to provide high-quality academic and pastoral support.
The successful candidate will support pupils within the classroom on a 1:1 basis, helping them to access learning, develop confidence and achieve their full potential. The role will also involve supporting positive behaviour, encouraging independence and contributing to an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 support for pupils with individual learning and behavioural needs
Support pupils in accessing the curriculum across a range of subjects
Work collaboratively with class teachers and the SEND team to implement personalised learning strategies
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing through consistent, supportive approaches
Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of learning resources
Encourage pupils' confidence, independence and engagement in learning
Contribute to the school's caring and inclusive ethos
The Successful Candidate Will Have
Experience working in a Primary or Secondary school
A calm, patient and compassionate approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents
A commitment to supporting children with a range of learning and behavioural needs
Good literacy, numeracy and organisational skills
A willingness to contribute positively to the wider life of the school
