SEND Teaching Assistant Opportunities - Full-Time Roles

Are you a dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with additional needs? Do you enjoy helping pupils develop confidence, overcome challenges, and achieve their potential?
Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting for a range of full-time SEND Teaching Assistant roles in Worksop, starting in September 2026. These positions are ideal for experienced support staff who are passionate about working with children who need extra guidance and encouragement within the school setting.
The roles will involve providing one-to-one support for pupils with a variety of SEND needs, helping them to access lessons, develop independence, and engage positively with their learning. You will work closely with class teachers and school staff to provide consistent, personalised support tailored to individual pupils.
We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with experience supporting children with special educational needs, additional learning requirements, and behavioural difficulties. Experience working with pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, communication difficulties, or complex needs would be advantageous.
Your role will include:
Delivering dedicated one-to-one support for pupils with SEND
Helping children participate fully in classroom activities
Providing emotional and behavioural support using positive approaches
Encouraging independence, confidence, and personal development
Supporting learning activities alongside teaching staff
Developing positive relationships with pupils and helping them feel valued and includedTo be successful, you will need:
Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or care setting
Experience supporting pupils with SEND and challenging behaviour
The ability to remain calm, patient, and consistent in a range of situations
A caring approach and a genuine commitment to supporting children's well being and progress
