Academics are seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Art Teacher to join an outstanding secondary school in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. This is a full-time position starting in September 2026, offering an exciting leadership opportunity within a well-resourced and highly successful Art department.
Position Details:
* Role: Head of Art Teacher

Responsibilities:
* Leading and managing the Art department
* Teaching Art at KS3 & KS4, with potential opportunities at KS5
* Developing and implementing a dynamic and engaging Art curriculum
* Mentoring and supporting Art teachers within the department
* Driving departmental initiatives and fostering a culture of artistic excellence
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience as an Art Teacher, with the ability to lead and manage a department
* Strong knowledge of the Art curriculum at KS3, KS4, and ideally KS5
* Formal teaching qualification with QTS (e.g., PGCE)
* Legal right to work in the UK
* Passion for art and a commitment to inspiring students
