Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Business Studies Teacher for a long-term supply position at a secondary school in Sunderland from September 2026. The department is looking for a specialist who can deliver confident, well-structured Business lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the ability to teach ICT alongside Business Studies being a significant advantage.
Candidates who can cover both subjects will be looked upon very favourably — schools increasingly value teachers who can contribute across related departments, and this role reflects that.
What you'll be doing:
Planning and delivering Business Studies lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teaching ICT where your subject knowledge allows
Assessing student progress and adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners
Maintaining high classroom standards and student engagement
Contributing to departmental planning and whole-school events
Upholding the school's safeguarding responsibilities
To be considered:
QTS or equivalent — essential
A degree in Business, Economics, or a related discipline
Proven experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level
Ability to teach ICT is highly desirable
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
