Teacher of Music – Blackburn, Lancashire | Secondary School | September 2026 Start

Vision for Education are recruiting for a Teacher of Music in Blackburn, Lancashire to join a successful secondary school from September 2026. This Teacher of Music position in Blackburn, Lancashire is a full-time, long-term temporary role running until December 2026, with the potential to become a permanent appointment from January 2027.

The school has a strong reputation within the local community and was judged Good at its most recent graded Ofsted inspection, with inspectors highlighting positive relationships, high expectations and a supportive learning environment.

As a Teacher of Music in Blackburn, Lancashire, you will deliver engaging and creative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to develop their musical knowledge, skills and confidence. This Teacher of Music role offers the opportunity to make a real impact within a thriving department.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Music at secondary level.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
A passion for delivering engaging and inclusive Music lessons.
Ability to plan, prepare and assess lessons effectively.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
