Social Worker - Children & Family Services (Assessments)
Location: Redhill
Salary: £40,000
Job Purpose
To provide high-quality social work services to children and families within an assessment-based service, ensuring safeguarding, child welfare, and positive outcomes for children and young people. The role involves undertaking family assessments, producing reports, and working collaboratively with multi-agency professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake comprehensive parenting and family assessments within agreed timescales
Assess risk, safeguarding concerns, and the needs of children and families
Produce clear, accurate, and evidence-based reports for internal and external use
Work closely with local authorities, courts, and other professionals involved in child protection cases
Develop and implement intervention plans to support families
Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records in line with regulatory and organisational standards
Participate in case conferences, reviews, and multi-agency meetings
Ensure all work is completed in line with safeguarding policies and procedures
Promote the welfare and best interests of children at all times
Key Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
Experience within Children & Families Social Work
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and assessment processes
Experience completing family assessments and written reports
Ability to manage a complex caseload
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment
Full UK driving licence desirable
