The Role As Clinical Deputy Manager, you'll work alongside the Home Manager to provide clinical leadership across the service, supporting both residents and colleagues while maintaining the highest standards of nursing practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing clinical leadership and oversight across the home
Supporting, coaching and developing Registered Nurses and care teams
Leading on clinical governance, quality improvement and CQC compliance
Deputising for the Home Manager when required
Delivering hands-on nursing support to residents when needed
Supporting recruitment, onboarding and retention of clinical staff
Driving best practice in dementia, frailty, long-term conditions and end-of-life care
Championing person-centred, compassionate care throughout the serviceWhat We're Looking For
Active NMC registration (RGN or RMN)
Minimum two years' post-registration experience
At least 12 months in a senior nursing role within a care home environment
Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and clinical governance frameworks
Experience supporting residents with dementia, frailty and complex needs
A visible, hands-on leadership style with excellent communication skills
Evidence of ongoing professional and clinical development
