An excellent opportunity has arisen for a BIM Coordinator to join a well-established digital construction consultancy based in central Manchester. With over a decade of experience in the sector, this growing practice has built a strong reputation for clarity and expertise in a complex and fast-evolving field, supporting estate owners, contractors, architects and consultants to get the most from digital construction.
The consultancy offers a broad range of services spanning information management, BIM coordination, 3D modelling, asset data, ISO 19650 consultancy and digital transformation, working across sectors including education, infrastructure, defence, commercial, leisure, residential and rail. This is a great opportunity for a BIM professional looking to develop their career within a forward-thinking, friendly and plain-speaking team. You'll play a key role in BIM delivery across multiple concurrent projects, working closely with project teams, clients and external stakeholders to ensure accurate coordination and data management throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
Act as a key point of contact for BIM delivery across multiple live projects, from inception through to handover
Assist in the authoring of project BIM documentation, including EIRs, BEPs, AIRs and MIDPs
Produce model audit, coordination and clash detection reports, supporting meetings and workshops with design and construction teams to resolve issues
Support technical workshops with design teams, providing input and expertise
Contribute to the development of BIM processes, workflows and template documentation in line with ISO 19650
Stay up to date with emerging standards, software and industry best practice
Represent the company professionally across all client interactionsEssential skills and experience
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
A minimum of a 2:1 in an industry-related degree
A solid understanding of BIM and its benefits to the construction industry
Knowledge of ISO 19650 and the UK BIM Framework
Strong Revit skills
A keen eye for quality and a continuous improvement mindset
Good teamwork and relationship management skillsDesirable skills and experience
Construction industry experience
Experience with clash detection processes
Familiarity with Dynamo, Power BI or scripting for BIM automation
Exposure to infrastructure or civil engineering BIM environments (OpenRoads, Civil 3D)
Awareness of the Building Safety Act 2022, including golden thread and gateway requirementsWhat's on offer
