Job Title: Vehicle Mechanic
Location: Stoke Gifford Depot, Bristol
Contract: Permanent | Full-time (Mon-Fri)

If you're a hands‑on Vehicle Mechanic who enjoys fault‑finding, modifcations and keeping critical systems running, this is a strong platform to grow your career.
You'll join a high‑performing depot team maintaining rail power products in a modern, digitally enabled environment, with a focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement.
What You'll Be Doing
Carry out preventative, scheduled and reactive maintenance
Modifcations
Diagnose faults using drawings, data and diagnostic tools
Perform repairs and overhauls to a high standard
Complete accurate documentation and reports
Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
Maintain HSQE standards and safe working practices
Use IT systems for maintenance tracking and reporting
Support stock control and parts tracking
Work with wider teams and support other depots when required What You'll Need to Succeed
Essential:
Mechanical engineering background (electrical knowledge beneficial)
NVQ Level 2 in Engineering OR a strong Vehicle background
Experience in maintenance, repair or overhaul environments
Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding ability
Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
Good IT skills (Word, Excel, email)Desirable:
