Rate: £29.00 - £44.00 per hour
gap technical are seeking a dependable and experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join our clients team on a contract basis within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You will work on a rotating days and nights pattern, carrying out maintenance on a variety of production machinery and electrical systems to minimise downtime and maintain safe, efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on production equipment.
Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective, timely repairs.
Work on motors, VSDs (Variable Speed Drives), 3-phase systems, and safety relays as part of routine maintenance and breakdown response.
Ensure all work complies with site safety standards, regulations, and electrical legislation.
Requirements
Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in a fast-paced FMCG/Manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of motors, VSDs, 3-phase electrical systems, and safety relays.
Solid fault-finding skills on industrial electrical equipment and PLC-based systems.
Relevant electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
Ability to work independently across shifts with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
