Customs Clearance Coordinator
£30,000 - £35,000 DOE | Private Healthcare | 5% Pension Match | Career Development

Are you an experienced Customs Clearance professional looking to join a well-established and growing freight forwarding business?
Our client, a highly respected international freight forwarder, is seeking a Customs Clearance Coordinator to join their expanding team. The Role
Working within the Customs Clearance department, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and compliant movement of freight across international borders. You'll work closely with customers, providing a high level of service while managing customs documentation from start to finish.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and processing customs declarations, primarily for Road Freight imports.
Handling Export Road, Import Sea Freight and Export Sea Freight customs entries.
Assisting with Air Freight customs entries where required.
Liaising with customers to understand their customs clearance requirements and provide proactive support.
Resolving customs-related queries and communicating directly with HMRC where necessary.
Managing your own files from start to finish, including costing and invoicing.
Ensuring all customs entries are completed accurately and in line with current customs regulations.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
A minimum of 3 years' experience within Customs Clearance or a similar customs-focused freight forwarding role.
Strong knowledge of UK customs procedures and import/export documentation.
Experience handling Road Freight customs entries (essential).
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
